  • any purpose that could damage the platform or reputation of Short QR.

DISCLAIMERS REGARDING SERVICE OUTPUT

QR codes, links, analytics, and AI-generated visuals are provided “as is.”

You acknowledge that:

  • results may vary depending on device, platform, or lighting,
  • analytics accuracy may depend on third-party factors,
  • the Service cannot guarantee scanning performance across all devices,
  • AI results may include imperfections or inconsistencies.

You are responsible for verifying that QR codes and links function correctly before distributing them.

SYSTEM INTEGRITY

  • interfere with performance, stability, or usage limits.

Any abuse may result in suspension or permanent removal of your Account.

QR codes and short links created using the Service may redirect to external websites.

Short QR does not review or endorse external content and is not responsible for:

  • security issues caused by destination URLs,
  • privacy practices of external sites,
  • damage arising from third-party content.

Users are solely responsible for the content and destinations they link to using the Service.

This section forms the opening portion of the complete Terms of Service and applies to all Users of SQR.co.

SERVICE DESCRIPTION

The Service provides tools for generating static and dynamic QR codes, creating and managing short links, customizing QR designs, tracking analytics, applying branded domains, using AI-based QR design tools, and enabling optional white-label or reseller usage. Features may evolve, expand, or be removed as the platform develops.

Artificial intelligence tools within the Service can generate or enhance QR code designs. These tools may produce variable results, and outputs may differ from previews. The User is fully responsible for verifying that generated QR codes scan correctly and lead to the intended destination before using them publicly.

USER CONTENT AND STORAGE

User Content includes all material uploaded or generated through the Service, such as URLs, images, logos, metadata, QR configurations, and AI outputs. You retain ownership of your User Content. By using the Service, you grant Short QR a non-exclusive license to store, process, and display this content solely for the purpose of operating the platform.

User Content is stored for as long as your Account exists, unless you delete it manually. Data may also remain after cancellation, as existing short links and QR codes can continue functioning even without an active subscription. No automatic deletion occurs unless required by law, by security necessity, or under long-term inactivity cleanup policies.

We may perform routine backups for platform reliability, but we cannot guarantee recovery of deleted data. Users are responsible for maintaining their own backups if long-term storage is critical.

ANALYTICS AND TRACKING

The Service provides analytics for QR scans and link clicks. Analytics may include total counts, device categories, browsers, approximate location, IP-derived region data, timestamps, and general usage performance. These analytics exist to help Users understand how their QR codes and short links perform.

The platform uses SimpleAnalytics.com to measure site traffic in a privacy-friendly manner without cookies or personal tracking. Analytics are aggregated, anonymous, and used only to maintain and improve the platform.

User responsibility includes ensuring that the use of analytics complies with relevant laws in their jurisdiction and communicating any required notices to their own end users.

LICENSE TO USE THE SERVICE

Upon purchasing a subscription or Lifetime Deal (when available), you receive a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the Service according to the plan’s limits and features. This license grants the right to generate QR codes, create short links, use analytics, upload assets, download QR designs, and access any features included in your plan.

This license does not grant permission to:

  • reverse-engineer, replicate, or distribute the platform software,
  • resell access unless specifically using a white-label or reseller plan,
  • claim ownership of platform code, infrastructure, or proprietary technology,
  • use the system for abusive, deceptive, or illegal purposes,
  • exceed plan limits or misuse shared resources.

WHITE-LABEL AND RESELLER RIGHTS

Users with white-label or reseller plans may present the Service under their own branding, serve clients through customized interfaces. These rights apply only to features explicitly included in their plan.

Users of white-label features must not:

  • misrepresent the platform as software they built,
  • exploit white-labeling to distribute harmful or illegal content,
  • interfere with the platform infrastructure or branding protections of Short QR.

Resellers are responsible for the actions of their downstream clients. Abuse or violation by clients may result in suspension of the reseller’s account.

ACCEPTABLE USE

The Service may not be used for activities that are harmful, unlawful, or violate the integrity of the platform. Prohibited uses include:

  • spam campaigns or unsolicited mass communication,
  • phishing, impersonation, or misleading redirects,
  • distributing harmful software, viruses, or malicious scripts,
  • linking to illegal material or unsafe websites,
  • abusive automated scanning, scraping, or load testing,
  • circumventing security or plan limitations,
  • generating QR codes intended to deceive or harm end users.

Short QR may remove content, block redirect destinations, or suspend Accounts involved in prohibited activity.

SYSTEM LIMITS AND FAIR USE

Plans may include limits regarding the number of QR codes, redirects, scanned traffic, analytics history, storage capacity, domains, or white-label clients. Excessive or abusive usage that impacts platform performance may result in temporary rate limits or account review. Fair use provisions ensure stable and reliable operation for all Users.

Service features, rate limits, templates, AI models, storage capacity, and plan structures may change as the platform grows. Access to new or evolving features may require plan upgrades.

THIRD-PARTY CONTENT AND DESTINATIONS

Short QR does not control or monitor the content linked through User-created QR codes or URLs. The User is solely responsible for ensuring that their destinations are lawful, safe, and appropriate.

If a destination poses security risks or violates law, Short QR may block access or disable the redirect without notice to protect Users and the platform.

The User agrees that Short QR is not liable for damages caused by third-party content, external websites, or any interaction beyond the platform.

This section continues the unified Terms and describes the nature of the Service, User Content, analytics, licensing, white-label usage, and acceptable use requirements.

BILLING AND PAYMENTS

All paid plans on the Service operate on a subscription basis unless otherwise specified. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle until cancelled. By subscribing, you authorize all recurring charges to be processed through Stripe using the payment method you provide.

Short QR does not store full card details. All payment information is handled securely by Stripe according to their own privacy and data handling policies.

Users are responsible for ensuring that payment methods remain valid. Failed or expired payment methods may result in temporary suspension or limited access until the issue is resolved. Charges processed prior to cancellation are not refundable.

CANCELLATION AND DOWNGRADES

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation stops future billing but does not retroactively refund payments already made. After cancellation, your plan remains active until the end of the current billing cycle.

Upon the end of the billing cycle:

  • premium features become inactive,
  • usage limits adjust to the free tier,
  • stored User Content remains accessible,
  • QR codes and short links continue functioning.

Downgrading to a lower-tier plan may require reducing active QR codes, domains, or other features before the downgrade can take effect.

LIFETIME DEALS

When offered, Lifetime Deals provide long-term access under the conditions specified at the time of purchase. Lifetime access applies to the lifetime of the product or feature set, not the lifetime of the User.

Lifetime Deals do not guarantee access to:

  • all future features,
  • upcoming AI models,
  • future white-label capabilities,
  • unlimited usage or storage.

Lifetime Deals cannot be transferred, resold, upgraded, or converted into other plans.

REFUND POLICY

Payments are non-refundable except where required by law. Refunds are not granted for:

  • change of mind,
  • dissatisfaction with AI outputs,
  • accidental purchases,
  • unused subscription time,
  • failure to use the Service.

In cases of system-wide outages lasting more than 72 hours, or duplicate payments, Short QR may choose to issue credits or adjustments at its discretion.

TAXES AND FEES

Users are responsible for any applicable taxes, VAT, or local fees imposed by their jurisdiction. Prices listed on the Site may or may not include such taxes depending on local requirements.

DATA RETENTION AND ACCOUNT STATUS

User Content—including QR codes, generated images, redirects, analytics, and custom assets—remains stored as long as the Account exists unless the User deletes it manually. The Service does not automatically remove User Content upon subscription expiration.

Short QR may classify an Account as inactive if it remains unused for an extended period. Inactive accounts may be limited, archived, or removed after reasonable attempts to notify the User. Removal of inactive accounts may include deletion of stored content.

SERVICE LIMITATIONS AND AVAILABILITY

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While Short QR strives for high availability, uninterrupted access cannot be guaranteed. Delays, downtime, rate limiting, or degraded performance may occur due to maintenance, load balancing, updates, or network issues.

Short QR may modify or remove features at any time. Access to evolving or newly introduced tools may require plan changes.

TERMINATION BY USER

You may delete your Account at any time. Deleting an Account permanently removes dashboard access and may remove stored User Content. QR codes and short links may stop functioning if Account deletion requires removal of routing or metadata.

Deleting an Account does not generate refunds for any remaining subscription period.

TERMINATION BY SHORT QR

Short QR may suspend or terminate Accounts that:

  • violate these Terms,
  • engage in prohibited or illegal activity,
  • host harmful or deceptive destinations,
  • abuse platform resources,
  • fail to resolve payment issues,
  • Jeopardize security or system integrity.

Following termination:

  • access ends immediately,
  • User Content may be deleted,
  • short links may be disabled if associated with harmful activity,
  • no refunds are provided.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Short QR is not liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages, including loss of revenue, data, business opportunities, or reputational harm arising from the use or inability to use the Service.

Short QR’s total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by the User in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Users are solely responsible for testing QR codes and links before using them publicly.

INDEMNIFICATION

Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Short QR, its owners, and employees from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or legal fees resulting from:

  • misuse of the Service,
  • User Content,
  • violations of these Terms,
  • legal or regulatory issues created by the User’s links or QR codes.

The obligations in this section continue after account termination.
